Deseret Book wanted something new for their brand but also needed to keep the value from their existing brand. They needed something that would reflect and highlight their great history as a company in addition to their family values and moral standards. Our research began as we surveyed their customers. We were able to find out how they felt about our designs. Seeing what each element conveyed to the customers helped us match what Deseret Book intended. This process helped us to create a final design that would emphasize the historical background of the company and their moral standards, while also creating a sense of security and comfort for customers. Deseret Book used the new brand, brand elements, and style guide to introduce the new brand throughout their complete chain of Deseret Book outlets.
